Travel Tips

Metro

Shanghai’s metro system is efficient and covers most major areas. Key lines for your reference:

Line 2: Connects Hongqiao Airport, Pudong Airport, and downtown areas such as People’s Square and Lujiazui.

Line 18: Connects to Kangqiao Station near the hotel.

Fare: ¥3-¥10 depending on distance.

Operating Hours: 5:30 AM - 11:00 PM.

Taxi

Taxis are widely available and relatively affordable. Ensure the driver uses the meter.

Base Fare: ¥14 (daytime), ¥18 (night).

Ride-Hailing Apps

Apps like Didi Chuxing (China’s equivalent of Uber) are convenient. Download the app and set up payment (please note that international credit cards may not work; cash or Alipay/WeChat Pay is recommended).

Public Buses

Buses are economical but may be challenging for non-Mandarin speakers. Please use apps like Google Maps or Baidu Maps for routes.

We hope this guide helps you travel around Shanghai with ease. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact the conference organizing team.
