In order to facilitate your smooth travelling to China to attend the ASV18, please hold valid passports and apply for a Chinese visa in accordance with the relevant regulations. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and the State Immigration Bureau, foreigners who come to China under the following circumstances are currently exempted from applying for visas:
(i) Bilateral agreements. According to the bilateral agreements or agreements signed or reached between China and the countries concerned, people from some countries who meet certain conditions may be exempted from applying for visas to come to China. (ii) Citizens of some countries holding ordinary passports may enter China visa-free if they come to China for doing business, travelling and tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchange visits or transit for not more than 30 days. (iv) Holders of valid foreigner residence permits issued by the public security authorities of China. Foreigners and resident foreign journalists who come to China for study, employment, family reunion, or long-term visit to relatives must apply for a residence permit for foreigners at the public security authorities after entering China. Within the validity period of the residence permit, aliens may reside in China and enter and leave the country several times without the need to apply for a separate visa.
(v) Holders of valid permanent residence permits for foreigners in the People's Republic of China.
(vi) Holders of valid APEC Business Travel Card (including virtual card).
(vii) Regional visa-free entry policy for foreigners.
